Situation analysis of MTP services: Jharkhand. February – May 2011

The situation analysis of Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) services in Jharkhand is focused on exploring the current status of service provision at the district level. The study is ascertained with identifying districts where a District Level Committee (DLC) has been formed, exploring whether the DLCs are functional in terms of organizing regular meetings, approving new private sites and keeping records, assessing MTP service provision and caseload at public as well as private health facilities in each district, and assessing the gap between estimated MTPs and MTPs actually reported/recorded in each district.
