Improving Knowledge and Care Seeking Behaviour of Young Women for Sexual and Reproductive Health in Assam and Madhya Pradesh

According to India’s most recent census, young women aged 15–24 years made up almost one-fifth of the country’s female population – making one in every five Indian women youth and giving India the largest reservoir of young people in the world. Given the magnitude of this demographic cohort, it is imperative to improve the quality of life of India’s youth. Youth (15-24 years) is a critical age that acts as a bridge between childhood to adulthood and further to parenthood, marking when many social and biological factors begin to change and set the stage for sexual and reproductive health.
