DLC Toolkit

The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act has a provision for a District Level Committee that approves a private facility to offer abortion services. The composition, tenure and roles, and responsibilities of the DLC are defined in the MTP Rules. IDF developed this toolkit to provide information for implementing authorities at state and district level on constituting and operationalizing the district level committees under the MTP Act, 1971.
